Wildlife Gardens - The mission is simple, create more space for wildlife, using the spaces we already have. Do it at a low cost using local materials and make it low maintenance.
Even a couple of meters can make a difference and bring some of natures joy to your life.
Homes - Being trained by SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) on Lime plastering was a wonderful experience and has dialled up my passion for preserving old homes. The traditional approaches to repairing Lime based structures is key to saving money and preserving older homes. Working part time for the National Trust only enhances my passion for preserving buildings and expands my experience.
Odd jobs - My part time role with the National Trust doing odd jobs gives these important buildings I treasure much needed preventative maintenance. From leaking toilet cisterns to fixing a crack in the plaster or removing a garden wall, I am there to be helpful.
Wellness walks - This is free and it can be done from loads of places. I regularly do walks with the Essex Wildlife Trust, based out of Fingringhoe Wick near Mersea Island.
The approach is so simple, we walk and share in the nature we hear, see, smell or feel. Short walks or long rambles can be arranged to explore and experience some amazing diverse habitats. It is a chance to let nature help or heal, do some exercise and not be in our heads or smart phones.

Rates:
Wildlife Gardens - £115 per day
Odd jobs - First hour £25, each hour after is £15
Lime work - First hour £45, each hour after is £25
NHS, Police, Fire services workers and military veterans have a 30% discount on labour.
The items are easy to cost, the labour is the key.
So, firstly a chat over the phone and when possible, a video chat, so the job can be looked at and questions asked. A Wildlife or Lime job always needs a visit and inspection that results in a detailed quote. The more time spent in understanding what you need, the better.
